Description
Lego Star Wars: The Complete saga blends the episodes of the Star Wars 1 and 2 movies into a refreshing and cohesive whole new game. It packs more studs to build your Lego, more arts with real-life plastic shine, and better graphics and music than its predecessors.
If you enjoyed Star Wars I and II, best believe that Traveller's Tales outdid itself in this one, and you're in for an even more exciting experience. However, if you're new to Star war games, this right here is your chance to taste the great Star Wars story. Start playing to know what you're missing.
As the name suggests, the Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga fuses Star Wars and Star Wars II. It is an action-puzzle game that is not too fast-paced for kids. It supports multiplayer mode, which means families can play it together. They are dropped into an environment where they get to build, fight different obstacles, and build genuinely challenging objects for a 7-year-old. As for the younger players, you can embark on a mission to collect different arts and studs or relive your experience when you first played any Star Wars collections back in '05.
I cannot overstate the extent to which the publisher went to improve the cinematic of the game. Unlike the drab graphics of the Star 1 episodes, this new release features high-quality scenes as Traveller's Tales took its time to work on impressive graphics for this 2005 game. As for the music. Well, it is simply perfect. The tunes become bubbly when it needs to be and dark when the situation calls for it.
The game is fun, too, especially if you are a fan of the Star Wars movie franchise or have a perfect sense of humor (although you might miss the inside jokes).
I love playing through different eras, which are all submerged into one long, explosive game. You can select characters from either Star Wars I or Il and let them play side by side. There is a space battle, a bounty hunt for Zam Wessell, and The Phantom Menace discussions.
You would find yourself at Mos Eisley Cantina when you start the game for the first time. If you are familiar with Star Wars, you already know it's the tavern where characters drink and can even get into a typical pub fight.
The Cantina acts as your game lobby, where you access the game menu, enter the in-app shop, or enter arcade mode. If you don't want to do those small activities, you can head right into story mode, where the real fun lies.
Game Mechanics
Apart from the thrilling stories and missions, one of the things I find the most fascinating about this release is the studs. The studs are the in-app currency you get from performing various tasks.
For example, if you use your lightsaber to destroy an object, you are surrounded by studs(gold, silver, or blue coins) that would dance around you and be added to the meter on top. You can spend these studs to buy hints and new characters when you get to the Cantina.
While the game is immersive and exciting, we find that its camera doesn't function as it should. It covers some areas and leaves some, denying us from thoroughly enjoying the game.
There are five main character types, and all players you would use or unlock would fit into one of these classes. Each of these classes( Jedis, Droids, Blasters, Stormtroopers, and Bounty Hunters) have peculiar abilities which would be helpful in different chapters.
