Titanfall 2 is a first-person shooter video game created by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It is the follow-up to Titanfall, which was released in 2014.
Titanfall 2 is a first-person shooter in which you control both a pilot and their Titans, similar to its predecessor.
The pilot has a wide variety of equipment that help them perform better in combat. Every pilot is equipped with a jump kit that aids with parkour, double-jumping, and wall-running. Pilots have additional offensive and defensive skills that are unique to each class, such as a grappling hook for increased mobility or a holographic visual cloaking device. Pilots sprint over walls with their jump kits, which may be chained together to go between areas rapidly.
Several new gameplay features are introduced in this game. The pulse blade is a throwing knife that displays the position of any nearby enemy, the holo-pilot is a hologram pilot that replicates your actions to confuse foes, and the grappling hook may be used to launch your character to a structure or reel in an enemy it connects to.
To battle their enemies, the Pilots have a huge array of devices and weapons, including shotguns, submachine guns, pistols, and grenades. You may use a melee attack to kill your enemies from behind in a brief animation at close range. If a melee assault connects, it is always instantly lethal.
Titans are less mobile than pilots, but they have more powerful weapons and better armor. Six Titans were introduced in Titanfall 2, replacing the three classes from the original game: Ion, Scorch, Northstar, Ronin, Tone, and Legion.
Ion employs a directed-energy arsenal and a shield capable of catching and reflecting opponent projectile hits. Scorch uses area-denial incendiary weapons and an indirect-fire thermite mortar in battle. Northstar is the only Titan who can leave the ground and hover, and specializes in long-range precise strikes with a charged railgun and setting movement-restricting traps.
Ronin uses a Leadwall shotgun and a sword to specialize in hit-and-run combat. Tone's target locking weapons are designed for mid-range battle. Legion employs a rotatable cannon that can fire continuously at both medium and close ranges.
The Titans have their own set of moves that are different from the pilots.
Titanfall 2 offers a single-player story campaign, unlike its predecessor, with gameplay divided between directing the Titan and controlling the Pilot. Although the storyline is linear, the levels have various pathways to explore.
You may complete missions and fight enemies in a variety of methods. The levels are huge, and you have several options for getting to your destination.
The multiplayer mode seems to see the return of Titanfall's Titan meter, which fills gradually while you are playing the game. Whenever you kill an opponent, deal damage to enemies, or accomplish the map's objectives, it fills up faster.
When the meter is filled completely, you may summon your chosen Titan, who will fall from the sky in a titanfall deployment. The Titan can utilize its 'Core' ability when the Titan meter is entirely filled when in Titan.
At any point, you can depart from your Titan. Under "follow mode," when the Titan follows the pilot as closely as possible, it will continue attacking surrounding enemies. It may also be configured to "guard mode," in which case it will remain stationary and attack any opponent that approaches it.
